It is NOT spite...not at all. I’m quite perplexed at how you even read that from my post. I believe Donald trump would be as bad or possibly even worse than Hillary. That is not spite. That is a deeply held belief, based upon objective evidence, not just what he’s flapped his gums about in the last six months.
I find it distressing that you appear to think so lightly of our voting right that it should be done with a shuttered conscience....that we should pull that lever no matter who is on the ballot. I disagree.
All that “objective evidence” was there with Ronald Reagan. He was a liberal Democrat for most of his life and elected president of a major union eight separate times.
Ronald was a definite “bad apple,” too.

Ditto here.
ConservativeMind, spite schmite. Attributing my (our) decision to petty spite is just self-centered. Sorry if my saying so hurts your feelings.
Unless Trump evidences actual conservative creds and vision, all I see is a really inspired patriotic showman and entertainer with a long history of leaning left-moderate-left, who speaks to peoples' hearts and has them bamboozled into thinking he can do anything because of a media image he's honed for ten years.
When the hell is Rush going to talk about the apparently $4-5 billion value Trump puts on his "personal brand" alone?
Now, maybe a miracle could happen and he transforms from the dodge-drafting POW-insulting Clinton-supporting party-switching left-leaning "colorful personality" who actually sinks lower than McCain (no mean feat) in terms of cad factor -- but otherwise, voting for that for president of my country seems calculated for regret.
Certainly I will vote, however, and use my vote to the best of my ability to weaken leftism. I follow my tagline because it is truth.
All I'm doing at this point is watching in awe.
