Very poor illustration of a comparative choice. The American people already had that choice and supported Stalin and the Russian people during the Second World War against Hitler.
Not asking about the American people. I’m asking of each of us as a person. Don’t think it’s a poor illustration at all. If you feel so motivated, please review it in that light.

Actually we never had a choice in that matter. Hitler declared war on our allies, and Stalin allied with our allies after Hitler invaded the Soviet Union. Then Hitler declared war on us.
There really never was an opportunity for us to say, “hey who are we going to side with?” Not without breaking our existing alliances, which would have guaranteed victory for our enemies.
