That’s easy....he has 69 years of supporting both vocally and financially liberals and liberal propositions. I don’t believe his convenient conversion because he has DONE nothing that shows his conversion is real. Coupled with at least two occasions of violating the most sacred trust...that of protecting the security of his children’s home and the vows to his wives.
Now why do you believe him? What has he DONE not just spouted in the last year that shows his conversion is real and not just calculated. And what has he DONE that shows he is now worthy of trust after so willfully and deliberately destroying it.
Our perceptions of what is real and good are quite different. I do not blame him for divorcing his first wife. He could not tolerate her “habits.” I have known people I loved dearly who did not divorce and totally destroyed each others lives because they stayed together. Their children were seriously affected as well. If Trump was such a horrendous father how on earth did his children turn out so well? How about his grandchildren who obviously adore him? With some people a marriage just does not work out. To say otherwise and play the pure Puritan is to be way out of the mainstream of reality. Trump doesn’t smoke, drink, or do drugs. You say he is no better than Hillary who probably does all three, but at the very least drinks too much...even to having drinking bouts with men!
I am not looking for a cast-iron “Conservative” because there is no way such a creature could win the election. I am looking for a winner which Trump is PROVEN to be throughout his life, and someone who can and WILL correct some of the grave injustices brought by the liberals against the American people. He WILL build the wall and he WILL apply something that has been a long time missing from Washington that is called COMMON SENSE! On top of that he understands the economy. He WILL change the trade deals which are destroying us. And I can double guarantee Sharia Law will not gain a foothold in America under Trump. I do not trust ANYONE ELSE on those matters. A strong military, care for our Veterans, all the major issues which are only mealy mouthed about by the other candidates, and the 2nd Amendment will not be in jeopardy nor the 1st Amendment under Trump. Cruz doesn’t have the knowledge, backbone, or will to do these things. He is just another politician after all.
