The bottom line here in Iowa; is that ethanol isn’t nearly as big a deal as some want it to be.
Farmers who raise corn will support Cruz if they feel he is the right guy overall.
The ethanol groups are like any special interest group; they will support candidates who support their position.
If someone is on staff at those special interest groups; that’s what they are getting paid to do.
But most voters will yawn at whatever those special interest groups say.
No doubt many will stick with Cruz, but a certain percentage could be peeled off. Cruz has much and serious competition who are not sitting still in Iowa. Only 27 days left before caucus day.
