I think you’re right.
The simpler Trump makes his message, the more difficult it is for the enemedia to twist his words around and make it stick.
Agreed!
Truthfully, I don't know anybody who talks like that.
Trump knows the biggest audience, which includes both smart people and simple people.
Trump also knows math: A bigger audience is better than a smaller audience.
I thought the article was written at a fourth grade level by Puschak. Good communications in business and elsewhere is to use the K I S approach...Keep It Simple. Wow how these so called authors and elites just do not get it!!
He resonates with the average American and makes them feel included in the political process for a change.
For the information of the snarky people who belittle Trump’s plain speaking, most modern novels are written at third and fourth grade level as are most newspaper and magazine articles. Look it up!
Trump is damned smart to communicate with the people who will be voting, many for the first time. Look at the crowds of people who attend his rallys. You see old, young, women, men, blue collar and white collar, and all ethnicities represented. I call that an All-American support team.
Go to New York sometime!
Partial transcript of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's speech in Des Moines, Iowa on Dec. 11, 2015:
Question on renewable fuel:
Donald Trump:
...Well, look he's [referring to Cruz] from Texas. To the best of my knowledge, there's a lot of oil in Texas. Right? So you know, he gets a lot of money from the oil companies and he's totally against ethanol and everything else you're talking about. And I'm not. I'm totally in favor.
And you know, it's a big industry here. It's a big industry.
You know, if that industry is upset, Iowa's got problems.
I was amazed. I was here three weeks ago with the group...They were such amazing people...And I learned so much about it. I was in favor of it even before...
...Beyond even the fuel capacities, which we want to create as much as we can, tremendous numbers of jobs in Iowa. And I said to myself, if Ted Cruz is against ethanol, how does he win in Iowa? Because that's very anti-Iowa. I don't know how he wins in Iowa. I don't know.
No, but I'm totally for it. Okay? Thank you.
He said all that to say: Trump is for ethanol subsidies and Cruz is not. But you can't fit the above attack onto a postcard or even quote it anywhere without it sounding like nonsense.
Exactly!
LOL. I always thought it was the KISS approach, Keep it Simple Stupid.
I don’t call it an attack. i call it an explanation of his reasoning and possible explanation of Cruz’s position on the question of ethanol. His reasoning is quite valid on an economic basis.
It is used both ways. Bottom line, Trump is making use of effective communication techniques and it is not by accident.
And people rave about them. I guess people project their beliefs onto his ambiguities. He also has an air of self-confidence. So there's that.
Trump speaks in a language which the average American, educated by the teacher’s union, understands! That is why he is beating whoever your candidate is by double digits.
I happened to read an article on effective leadership a while ago. One of the things that caught my eye was the RULE to NEVER apologize. Trump knows what he is doing.
