The Islamic State (ISIS) group threatened Britain in an Internet video Sunday showing the killing of five "spies" it said worked with the international coalition fighting ISIS in Iraq and Syria. [...]
"This is a message to David Cameron," says one of the gunmen. "How strange it is that we find ourselves today hearing an insignificant leader like you challenge the might of the Islamic State." [...]
"Only an imbecile would dare to wage war against a land where the law of Allah reigns supreme and where the people live under the justice and security of sharia" or Islamic law, the fighter says.
"We will continue to wage jihad...and one day invade your land, where we will rule by the sharia." ...

‘ISIS can easily take over England because it is already Islamic’
Do Americans really believe this?.
‘The Brits have already surrendered’
Only the critical faculties of Americans seem to have surrendered. To ignorance, urban myths, third hand knowledge and outright paranoia. Where the UK is concerned.
No, he isn’t.
And old Liz is a mix of Scottish, German, English, Viking, French, Norman, Anglo-Saxon, Irish and Welsh blood. She sits on the throne because of her SCOTTISH blood. As a Stuart.
The govt may be, the people aren’t.
God bless you sir.
We in the UK, as you know, have our faults, but the UK portrayed here daily is not the one you and I see daily.
Where in the UK are you?. Apologies if I have asked that before.
Maybe he, like myself, are just sick of the daily nonsense about the UK we have to read on here.
Its not covering anything up, its just trying to bring some actual facts and common sense into any UK issue. Honestly, most of whats written here about the UK is horsepoop.
No offence, and not a personal comment, but imo Americans seem more confused about the difference between Sikhs, Hindus and Muslims. Maybe its a cultural thing, as all three groups are more fundamental to our culture and history than yours.
Overhyped semi-myth. There ARE areas where extreme Muslims have tried to take street control and are a problem, but most have been dealt with and jailed. They remain a problem, but no quite on the level Trump would have you think. UK police do NOT ignore areas (esp Muslim), but there are areas where police have to be more wary. Just like the US or any country.
Also there are no-go/dangerous areas where the no-go is caused by white and black youth, and they have always existed in the tougher UK cities like Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and of course London. ‘Dodgy’ as we would say. Where the police are hated.
I know the difference between Sikhs (heartily welcomed) and Muslims.
Indians and Muslims, pretty easy to differentiate, esp. the women.
The Muslims at the Holiday Inn in DC were easy to spot, the white skull caps, etc.
Here in Raleigh, NC area we have a large population of Sikhs and E. Indians.
Quite a few Muslims also. Lots of Pakis.
Aw c’mon. Give these poor guys a break. All they want is some good economic opportunities and maybe a decent job.
sorry scottie , haven’t been there in years , and likely never will be again .
This was in 82 and again in 84
Then please specify the facts, is all I can say. Self-righteous rhetoric serves no purpose whatsoever other than to waste bandwidth.
I do, on a daily/regular basis. You know my posts are always full of facts and stats about the UK.
Yes, I’ve read a number of them. And what I’m saying is that the indignation that sometimes accompanies them serves no purpose. In my experience, facts do have to be repeated, not posted once; that is the best way to educate if that is one’s purpose.
I am sorry, but I am human, you cant expect me to read guff about the UK and not get even a wee bit of emotion in my reply.
Yes I can expect that. It would embarrass others in so doing. Presuming you had the facts, that is.
By “others” I mean those holding the presumed mistaken opinion.
By contrast, those who cannot control emotion are substituting emotion for valid argument.
That's Londonistan.
