Again “we-? “ continue to vote the same incompetent POS into office.
Bushs, Clintons, Gowdy, Cruz, Rubio, Smiths and Jones, etc, etc!
I have seen the Light and will not vote for any Incumbent again!
They all, without exception, are part of the problem.
If the USA were a public corporation would you place any of these people in as the CEO?
Like Hell, you would!
Not personally directed @WTFOVR
Thank you for helping me increase my acronym vocabulary.
Real thinking is hard work, and our culture doesn’t encourage this sort of work. It is easier to bandy about slogans and preach to the choir.
In fairness, I don’t think that the medium of communication that FreeRepublic uses is conducive to reflective discussion, so this may be the best that is possible on the web in a forum of this sort. If you know of a better website, do let me know.
It is still a great deal better than any newspaper out there, but it doesn’t offer much hope for the Republic.
So the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense lied under oath? Does the press not care? Isn’t this some sort of journalistic malpracrice?
I don’t think it’s the medium. It’s the core values of Americans in 2016. Most simply don’t have it in them anymore to do anything but capitulate. They abandoned their sense of right and wrong and have become the thing they once hated.
It that’s not the case, I don’t see what other explanation there is. Fighting back or standing up for their beliefs is too hard. It might lose them precious social status, just like the politicians they bitch about. So they just don’t.
Then Stockholm Syndrome kicks in and they side with the problem over those trying to do anything at all to correct it.
#5 VerySadAmerican If it takes a dictator to save this country from what Obama the dictator has done, then I'm all for it.
#27 demshateGod Great article. Bookmarked. The logic is irrefutable, so it wont be refuted.
#31 ROCKLOBSTER I want some iron-fisted bastard to do a smashmouth beatdown of the departments, to a tenth of their current size, and eliminate most of them.
#44 Mrs_Puddleglum Yes I want my own dictator. For eight years, to get my country turned back in the right direction.
#50 Lazamataz Absolutely, I want my own dictator.
#58 greene66 Things have degraded to such a point that it is becoming increasingly conceivable that the only avenue for the ultimate survival of Western Civilization might actually require a dictatorial force.
#76 aquila48 The damage that Obama has done can only be undone by someone who's willing to use the same tactics.
#81 Lurkinanloomin That's my Christmas wish (to #50)
If you spent one day in a newsroom, you’d understand why. They are on the same team as the liars. To the core of their beliefs.
They do not see it as malpractice. They see you as the subhuman moron that needs to be led. They don’t realize that those up the ladder view them the same way.
Obviously there is a problem. If you do not see that, that’s your cross to bear.
two words Bill di Blasio...
he who waits in the wings.
Somebody should ask Gowdy about it.
Check out #206. I expected nothing more.
Nor did I.
LIED? Can you imagine that coming out of the Liar-In-Chief’s administration????? Unbelievable - Richard Millhouse Nixon LIED to America and look what happened a couple of generations ago!!! Now we all just accept it and shrug our shoulders. What a cesspool we have sunken into.
“Thank you for helping me increase my acronym vocabulary.”
You’re welcome. I’m glad to be of assistance.
You are correct. We are furious at what has happened to America and the tyranny she has become.
The only difference between ‘tyranny’ and ‘tranny’ is a Y.
If an easy way of standing up for beliefs came by, I think many would opt for it. Arguing coherently is not easy.
As to fighting back in an effective manner, there don’t seem to be any real options that offer a clear path to reform. The political system is shot—even if one gets a couple of good folks elected, they are only a drop in the bucket, and often will go over to the dark side.
One can raise up good offspring, and influence a few others, but this too is hard. Hopefully the five loaves and two fishes can be used by someone else.
If I need to further explain my comment, I believe for the Constitution and the Rule of Law to ‘work’ and prosper, it does require a certain moral standard when it comes to the populace. I would have enough faith in the American people of forty years ago, sixty years ago, a hundred years ago. But not now. The moral rot goes to the very core. The embrace of wholly degenerate crap from dope to faggot-marriage to open-borders tells me the current makeup of the American public is frankly just no longer capable of receiving or thriving from our nation’s structural and political heritage.
Does this mean I’m endorsing a dictator? No, not necessarily. But, as I stated in my post, I’m beginning to think it might ultimately be the only way for either America or Western Civilization as a whole to survive (as Islamic insanity marches on, nastily filling the empty vacuum in peoples’ lives).
