No, quite a few people in this thread have stated that setting the fire was justified.

This is the crux of the matter. Can the Feds come back and demand longer sentences after time has been served and the incarcerated have already been released?

The law allowed for the sentence and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals agreed so the Hammonds have to go back to serve it out in full according to the judiciary.
