It's amazing that when a simple project such as building a wall is mentioned, we get this reaction:

Oh Noes! It would be hard, was winning WWI too hard, building Hoover Dam, the Panama Canal, WWII, Mount Rushmore, the Golden Gate Bridge? All of a sudden something as important as our nation’s sovereignty and security is just too damn hard for the metrosexuals.

What a crazy idea. Next they will be saying we can build a railroad all of the way across the United States.

While being built put the national guard with orders to shoot on site. NO one will come close to this area

During WW2, the US built the Alaska highway in a single season, starting in March of 1942. The highway was dedicated in November of 1942. The total distance was 1,202 miles. Two crews worked toward each other and met at mile marker 558.

So, don’t tell me we cannot build a suitable barrier along the Mexican border. The Alaska highway was built using 10,000 men. We now have over 90 million unemployed adults in the country.

Not possible. There are Indians, winter storms, snowdrifts thirty feet deep, scorching hot summers, wide rivers with no bridges, no sources of supply, no rails, no cross-ties, we don’t have any rolling stock, nobody will finance it, we don’t have enough labor, steam engine boilers explode and kill people, soot gets into the cars. It can’t be done, I tell you. Give it up. It’s nonsensical to even contemplate it. You’d best stay in the village where you and your parents and their parents were born, lived and died.

Don’t forget a we built Liberty ship every 3 days at the peak and a virtual land bridge to Europe to supply the Allied war effort all the while fighting a world war on 2 fronts.

I guess the author thinks it was the Panamanians who engineered the Canal.

Must be a more daunting task than getting Hillary put in Prison and having Obama Impeached.

If such a wall were mandated, many millions more foreign laborers would be imported to build it.

You don't really need the wall. Just give the military the responsibility of guarding the southern border. They can use it as part of their training.

Pure BS snake oil. That is too political and changes with the wind.

Walls are apolitical which is the whole reason for it being built, it cant be circumvented.

How about the Hoover Dam. A classic example of America’s ingenuity. Remember it was built with sliders and mules.

There was quite a bit of real machinery used.

The Chinese know how to build solid walls.

Break up the project into 30 parts and have each 100 or so mile section contracted out to the best bidder. Give incentives for an early finish and penalties for late finish. I bet you can get the whole thing done in under six months.

Imprison Illegal aliens at the border - Mandatory 1 year sentence hard labor. Dept of Corrections builds the wall.

We now have over 90 million unemployed adults in the country.

Begs the question of how many of them really want to work; especially if it's hard work. Idleness does not tend to make one work-ready. That said, there will be enough workers for such a project.

“Don’t forget a we built Liberty ship every 3 days at the peak”

Very true, we literally built them faster than German subs could sink them.

It was reported that thousands of mules were used. Those pictures are photoshopped. Do a fact check!!!!
Ah, it got your attention.

You agree with they did use slide rules?

Happy New Year

Ask Israel, China, Berlin, even Hungary recently, how to build a wall.
