The political class has been pushing in favor of Iran for over 10 years for the sake of its funding for civilian salaries and cheap oil.
When the nuke exchange starts, political folks in the cities will have about 15 minutes to get to their rural places—not the half hour that they would have had in the ‘60s. The enemy would most likely launch during business hours for effect. When the time comes, they should make sure that they can get at least 30 miles in 15 minutes.
