“Carry concealed, what they don’t know wont hurt them...”
Political correctness. Who cares if whoever “they” is are hurt, or what? offended? Especially considering “them” being offended is that they are not entitled to not being offended. They’ll get used to seeing free Americans around them.
If you and I want to carry concealed personally, power to us. I carry concealed myself but there are benefits to some folks carrying open as at least here in AZ, the public is used to it, and concealed is legal w/o paperwork so seeing open carry and still having to figure there are probably at least as many people carrying concealed at any public place make for very iffy propositions to those with evil intentions.
Also with constitutional carry, if one is carrying open and puts on a coat that covers his pistol, he’s not then breaking another unconstitutional law about carrying concealed without a permit, and vers-visa if he is carrying concealed and his pistol somehow shows he’s not in violation of some ridiculous regulation that is purely a violation of his rights anyway.
The closer we get to carrying arms not being an issue, the better. And to be divisive about carry methods is just that; divisive.
Now, is my opinion divisive?
>> I really donât see how they will survive by denying service to Open Carry Texans.
Personally, I think that only a small number of folks will open carry — a small enough number that refusing them service will not threaten the success of HEB in the least.
I laughed when I read your post. I seriously doubt that more than 1/10th of 1/10th of 1/10th of the elite female shoppers at Neiman-Marcus would ever have a firearm permit, and even if they did, the likelihood that they would carry a Glock to buy a pair of Tory Burch boots or a bottle of Chanel Allure is laughable.
