In an interview with Charlie Rose, George Lucas spoke about everything from his and Disney’s branching vision to the deal itself. Lucas, who has always been protective of his series and even refers to them as his “kids,†hasn’t been looking back well on the deal with Disney (via Collider).

Well, if it makes him feel any better, I thought the new Star Wars sucked about on par with the prequels.
C’mon, his “A Very Brady Death Star” Easter special had its moments ....
He did an excellent job of ruining the franchise all by himself.

I believe Lucas first movie was “Two Lane Blacktop”, the worst movie to ever be produced. It was so bad that Hot Rod Magazine wrote their only movie review on how terrible it was.
He even ruined the third original movie with those horrible little Ewoks.
Is he in charge of Clones Wars Cartoon they are excellent.I have Grandchildren-many.
So hipster. Movie is great. Has similarities to New Hope but let’s be real, this movie was overall heads above the prequels is not even a fair fight.
Agree. The new movie was politically correct and Disneyfied for mass appeal.
It is simple. This overrated assclown made three lousy Star Wars prequels. Disney comes along, hands the reigns to a young talented director and already has made back a big chunk of its investment. Insult to injury, they didn’t want Lucas involved. They kicked his arse out of anything to do with the new movie and even outright rejected his ideas. Lucas’ ego just got a blow from which he is discovering no amount of money will help.

He could NEVER have done the movie out now as well. And he should never be allowed to write or change a single word of dialogue ever again. The greatness of the first Star Wars movies and American Graffiti was due to really good actors who were allowed to...act.
HOW the same person who did American Graffiti could have made the three Star Wars movies before this one is beyond my ability to comprehend.
My advice: stay home and count your money.
He’s got billions of dollaras. I doubt he gives a crap how cool you or anyone else think his footwear looks.
Kylo Ren came from Leia’s uterus, probably about 25 years prior. I can’t speak to the how, but maybe they will release a novel that gets into whether or not he was a breech baby or if Leia had an epidural.
