Sen. Ted Cruz raised almost $20 million for his presidential campaign in the fourth quarter... a 66% increase over the previous three-month period, according to campaign officials and a memo that shows how the Texas Republican's fundraising pace accelerated as he has gained in the polls.
Jeff Roe, Mr. Cruz's campaign manager, said in a memo to staff and supporters that the campaign's year end fundraising total would come to more than $45 million, up from the $26 million raised by the end of September.
The $20 million haul in the final three months of 2015 is up sharply from the $12.2 million raised in the third quarter, a bonanza that came as polls showed Mr. Cruz rising to a top-tier candidate from a back of the pack contender in the crowded GOP candidate field.
By the end of the third quarter, Mr. Cruz already had more cash on hand than any other GOP candidate.... Mr. Roe said in the memo, a year-end summary of the campaign's progress, that Mr. Cruz had received contributions from 300,000 donors from across the country. Money arrived from 66% of the zip codes in the U.S., he said.
Looking ahead to the beginning of actual voting Feb. 1, when the Iowa caucuses will be held, Mr. Roe told supporters, "We have a network in place with the resources required to win that is the envy of every other campaign

As voters move to other candidates, their donations go with them.
Ted & Heidi are driving me crazy though. Mailed 3rd donation today. So many emails, so many phone calls. I’ve quit answering my phone to unknown numbers. No more until after Feb. 1st for me.
Yes, Ted and Heidi are certainly persistent in their emails and mailings.
I have unsubscribed them so many times, but cruz email just shows up. no regards, they don’t know definition of “NO” “UNSUBSCRIBED”. Abusers
I had to tell them no :(. Medical bills from the sick kiddo are piling up.
The wife has been donating regularly through 2ndDivision’s link. Hopefully he’s getting enough credit to win a gift bag of some kind.
Master spammer as well apparently.
The best one yet was mailed to my home. Copied on yellow legal pad type paper. My husband NEVER opens mail at home but he did this one. Started reading it outloud . . . I was cracking up . . . I’m in my hotel room and long nights like these are when I think about you and how I just want to get my thoughts on paper . . . blah blah blah . . . I still have it around here somewhere.
It got an A+ for creativity and originality. Never got a fund raising letter quite like that before. It was two pages long in “handwritten” reproduced form.
THEN I get an email from Heidi . . . talking about his letter and “knowing” how awful his handwriting is and apologizing for his awful handwriting and how critical their fundraising needs are before the FEC deadlines for 4th quarter.
Funny Stuff those two!!!! I’m giving small donations now, 50, 25 and 25. But no more until after Feb. 1st.
Conservatism is coming.
I’m getting emails but no calls, yay.
This month and next should be very interesting. I wish the pollsters would get with it on with the state polling.
I don’t mind the emails...if its what it takes to win and take back our country...a few emails isn’t a bother.
Ted’s going to be a force coming out of Iowa...a huge force.
exactly....
Hope your Little One is better soon. God Bless!
The emails don’t bother me not so much, the phone calls . . . harder so say no to a real person than delete. I can only donate so often and so much.
I hope he is a HUGE FORCE coming out of Iowa.
I think I’ll have to steal my 18 yr old sons Texas Ranger Cruz tshirts out of his closet . . . a red one and blue one . . . although his number is 17 . . . close enough . . . Inauguration Day January 2017.
Go Cruz~!!!!
I think people complain because they’re conditioned to complain.
After all, its not like you have to cart a pile of emails out to the curb and pay someone to haul them away.
I don't care. I've donated to Ted's campaign a couple of times and I don't mind the contacts. I give when I can give and will likely send some more doe this week.
Best reason of all to support Trump: he’s not constantly nagging you begging for money!
Here’s what I don’t get - the non-independently wealthy candidates have been castigated for taking money from large donors...but when they try to hit up the small donors, well, they get all kinds of shit for that too.
Ted obviously did it all wrong. Instead of spending all of that time studying constitutional law, clerking for the finest conservative jurists of our time, and working his ass off at defending state’s rights, he could have been doing something productive. Maybe he should just do what Trump did - being a member of the lucky sperm club is obviously out of the question, but he’d could certainly get himself in bed with the “legitimate businessmen” of NY, trade Heidi in for a newer model every few years, and parlay it all into a reality show full of D-list celebrities.
It may not be too late - Someone send a memo to Houston!
