Donald sees it as not just an argument to be settled under Marquis of Queensbury rules. He knows it’s a matter of ego and pride. Yeah he is kind of egotistical and proud himself, but he also knows some decent point at which to curb it all. Anyhow that’s why he keeps it up. If we have to have an ego prevailing in the picture, at least let it be an ego that stands for most of the right things.
We can’t keep up that way forever, at some point humility before God has to enter the picture. But it is progress towards the right place compared with where we are now.
Trump is not a solution-first guy, but me-first egomaniac. His “solutions” make sense because he has tailored it for you. That is how he “deals”. His knows how to “play” the “game”. He makes professional Republican politicians look like amateurs. And so-called “principled” conservatives are following him? Wow.
Yep.... After this....I think we’ll see Bill on the campaign trail at about two stops, just because it was already announced.... and then we won’t see him again. That’s my guess.
I agree with your assessment. The thing is, while Trump has an ego, he lives in the real world, and he is focused on results, so I think, for the most part, this will keep him grounded. His is not the abstract narcassitic ego like Obama’s. It’s more a pride in his own genuine abilities and he likes to prove himself and be recognized for his accomplishments. This is in contrast to Obama’s love of self and sense of entitlement that demands an unearned respect from others.
