You are so wrong. It is a pity you haven’t taken the time to do even a little real research on Trump or you would know his reasons.

I have watched Trump enough not to be blinded by him. Trump made noises about running for president three times in the past, for governor of New York twice, and sounded out Bush I about being his vice-president but lost out to Dan Quayle. He filed papers to run on the Reform party in 1999. He's wanted this for a long time and the idea that this is a sudden, yet regretful decision on his part or that he would rather be home playing with his grandkids but is running out of sense of duty and love of country is complete nonsense.

Name one other candidate that is willing to make the sacrifices that Trump has already made.

What sacrifice? Hitting the campaign trail? All of them. Setting aside their current jobs to run for president? All of them. Opening their background to examination and criticism? All of them. Trump is no different than the rest in his reason for running.

Watching a few old interviews is not research.

You obviously haven’t read his books, read articles about his family history, read anything about what his military schoolmates have said about him, or researched anything at all about him with an open mind.

As far as his sacrifice goes; he has lost his Macy’s contract, gave up a very good income from The Apprentice, lost endorsements, and will have to hand over the business he loves to his children.

He will have to go from a very comfortable life of doing anything and going anywhere he wants to living in a fishbowl and being attacked on an hourly basis by the media and his foes.

Moving to the White House is a step up for everyone else. It will be a step down for Trump.
