Time to face some hard, disturbing facts. The Obama led US military was outmaneuvered in the Persian Gulf. China bitterly resents coercive US military, economic or diplomatic policies almost anywhere in Asia. It views Iran as a source of oil and gas and Iran’s seventy five million citizens as a market for its export oriented economy. China sold Iran state of the art, stealthy shore to ship missiles with American designed guidance systems. The Iranians fortified the Persian Gulf with those missiles. The big ,blue water ships of the US Navy despite their defensive systems, faced a debacle worse than Pearl Harbor in the shallow, narrow Persian Gulf. What’s more they also sold the Iranians long range ballistic missiles based in Iran and shot range mobile missiles positioned in Syria. Israel would have suffered a devastating counter attack against its cities and population centers if it had attacked Iran. China was the unseen hand that forced Obama willingly or unwillingly to disengage from the Persian Gulf.

Tehran would have glowed in the dark.
And the principal fact is that the price of a US Aircraft Carrier is utter annihilation.
Either with nukes, or other means, depending on what is necessary.

Unfortunately you are likely correct about China. I’ll apologize in advance for the following side bar rant as it is disturbing to see what has happened to our county on many fronts.
China now wields a much bigger influence against the USA than they ever should have been permitted to have acquired. Our leaders gave them policies that enabled their financial clout to be used against us.
We have had a multi decade cabal of political incompetents and elites in the White House and Congress that sold out our national security, our borders, economy and tax base. The puppet string pullers such as NY bankers, CEOs and a global Chamber of Commerce always looking for cheaper labor by illegals, H1Bs have out sourced our security, manufacturing and production ability. Our incompetent leaders (as Trump has repeated many times)demanded nothing in return from China. If not for these traitors and fools the Chinese would still be using bikes, rickshaws and plying the seas in Chinese junks.
Now this same establishment wants to import the world’s population to the USA to purposely undermine our legacy and national culture. They and their media are pulling out all stops to put a halt to any Presidential candidate that would disrupt their plans and plundering.
