In this mid-Atlantic urban center, we have not yet had a killing frost event. The tender coleus have lost their leaves, but the begonia plants are still blooming well. This weekend may finally do it. First freeze in January??? I thought I was doing well when I harvested tomatoes up to Dec. 6th back in the early 2000s.
Usually I’ve had my third fuel oil fill by now — so far I’ve had one for the entire winter.
And the price was lower, thanks to the glut.
I’ve begun to worry about the nice people (local business) who deliver the oil.
