Since Coca Cola was invented by a morphine addict, in Atlanta, Georgia, about 30 years before the company sold stock, I wonder about family your story. Just how old were these people, since the common stock sold @ $4r0 dollars and the preferred stock @ $100...both of which was quite a tidy sum in 1919 !

I see that the average industrial worker hauled home about 25 dollars a week in 1919. I would say that many people missed out on buying Coca Cola stock, and just not in the south.
