Isn't it revealing that the political class now identified as the "GOP-E" are, in fact, combining their efforts with the Democrats in denigrating the intelligence of their fellow citizens who now favor either Trump or Cruz--and that is exactly what they're doing when they are either dismissive or disparaging in their criticisms of those two primary candidates!

Is it that they are fearful of what Thomas Jefferson called "the intelligence of the people" to choose their own leaders? By the way, the GOP-E has done a terrible job at picking their idea of a candidate for several election cycles now, and just look at the consequences for those "people" whose judgment the elitists now question indirectly by disparaging the "outsider" choices of "the people" right now!

It’s a little early, but word on the street is that some event will decide this election....with that in mind is there any one in the campaign who is strong enough to keep America from sinking further into Socialism or into the abyss of terrorism and maintain a strong foreign policy at the same time? Other than Trump, name him/her.

Curt Anderson is a Republican political consultant. He worked for Haley Barbour at the RNC. He’s worked for Mitch McConnell, Elizabeth Dole, and John Thune. He worked for Mitt Romney in 2008 (snip) He’s a good guy.
*************************************************

Can’t be a good guy when he’s working for The Cheap Labor Express trying to steal our country from us.

“Ultimately, they are all Republicans who see Ted Cruz as more often than not opposed to the Republican team.”

The “Republican team” has become the Washington Generals to the democrats Harlem Globe Trotters and their “fans” are calling for a new coach and benching and or releasing most their players and replacing them.

He swings wildly ... MITT ROMNEY ... STRIKE THREE! YE'ER OUT!

Why do they say Trump has no ground game? He does.

Trump has no ground game in place in places like Iowa or throughout the SEC primary to get those non-traditional voters to the polls.

I am a Cruz supporter but a lie is a lie. Santorum's successful 2012 man is running Trump's ops in Iowa. I'm in Gerogia, and Trump's people called me to see if I wanted to help out with the ground operation.

Ted Cruz has the most mature, well-rounded, heavily staffed, and very efficient ground operatioon in Iowa and the SEC states. Trump has a sound operation as well. Some Trump supporters may stay home, some others who normally do not vote may be extra motivated, making it a wash. Nobody knows. But I know, and therefore Erickson SHOULD know that Trump has a legitimate ground game. Pretending otherwise does not help the other candidates nor Republican voters.

I remember how much hope many of us once had in Haley Barbour. What did we fail to see from the start with that fraud?

If only the GOPe focused 1% of their vitriol for Cruz and Trump on Obama Obama would have been impeached long ago if he was even elected president.

I’m waiting for the “Draft Dole” movement as the only way to save the republican party. Party uber alles.

I wonder, who isn’t in it for themself?

Surely not Mitch McConnel. He is only in politics for altruistic reasons.

Surely not Trump. His whole career has been devoted to helping others.

Surely not George W. Bush. For him, it couldn’t have been anything to do with legacy and carrying on a family dynasty.

Surely not for Marco Rubio. I am sure it has nothing to do with ego or getting his cheerleader wife into better parties.

Give me a break. Every politician (or human being) is motivated by self interest. My questions are: What is the person getting out of it and How does that affect me?

I fully believe that Ted Cruz is an ideologue. He is motivated by wanting to prove that his ideology is right. He believes in Austrian economics and free markets. He believes in the Constitution and the founding principals.

I am O.K. with him not playing nice with Team R and “being selfish” when he is motivated by such things.
