It’s interesting, then, that Trump would say “Hillary’s a great friend of mine. Her husband is a great friend of mine. They’re fantastic people” in 2008. That’s after the Lewinsky stuff came out isn’t it?
Political expedience for a businessman working deals in a system he had figured out.
In 2008, Trump wasn’t running for anything, and wasn’t a politician at all.
He had a business, a multi-billion dollar business, that sadly, because of scoundrel politicians in BOTH parties, needed to be greased to get things done. Why would he want to make enemies of a whole side of them then?
Trump may well turn out to be a disaster; I don’t know. He could wind up being elected and then turn on us and advocate all kinds of soul-killing legislation to destroy the country. BUT...
That’s what Obama is doing NOW. And, the REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP in the HOUSE and SENATE are right there beside Obama, charging headlong into the fray WITH him.
But it seems to me only ONE candidate is willing to call a spade a spade and is NOT beholden to other people’s money, and that is Donald Trump.
Our Republic is dying, and needs emergency treatment—not the same old, same old.
Trump NEVER donated to the Clintons.
He BOUGHT them.
In 2008 I used to say nice things about someone I knew at the time. Things changed since then.
He says this about practically everyone he has met. It's called being diplomatic.
