I used to have a tractor drive dot matrix printer that was great for labels. Not cost effective with inkjet or laser.

Actually i think there is some genetics behind it - my handwriting is atrocious - only thing I ever got below a B in. Had a wonderful teacher in 6th grade that made me spend extra time writing during the reading section cause I’d already read the textbook cover to cover.

Got it up to a B and earned a free fountain pen (which everyone got if they finished all of a set of tasks).

Next year I was right back to the same - my issue as best I can figure is my mind moves faster then my motor skills which have to rush to keep up. One of my uncles and one of my daughters have the exact same issue. Nothing to do with neglect....at least not with this anecdote.

I mailed a package via USPS to Montana the Sat before Christmas and was told it wouldn’t arrive until the day after Christmas. I said, “no worries. I know I am late in mailing it.” It was deliver on Christmas morning!

We received a piece of wedding cake mailed from England nine months after it had been mailed. The cake had been to Australia and Bermuda. What a story it could have told if it could have talked. We were able to piece its travel itinerary together by the customs inspections label and to this day have no idea how it went astray the parcel was properly addressed.

In England it is traditional to give wedding guests a slice of cake to take home “to dream on”. The cake is a marzipan covered fruitcake, which keeps well, so we have often received slices in the mail, all without incident. Royal Mail messed up on this one though. lol
