In related news, Bernie & Hillary offered supporters Tofu. (Obama had cornered the arugula supply)
We need a candidate that says stuff, like Trump. You can t beat his slogans.
Plus, he s a good billionaire. He s not like the others.
It’s a combination of the two.
Which, as a business executive is exactly what he is supposed to do.....increase shareholder value within the boundaries of what is allowed by law. It is NOT his duty to interpret the Constitution and conform his business to "his" understanding thereof. That is the job of his lawyers.
What one hopes is that once "enforcing the Constitution" becomes his executive responsibility, that he will do as good a job.
Note....I am not particularly a "Trump" fan. Based on current track record of accomplishment in defending the Constitution, I prefer Cruz.
Bttt.

Another major victory of Ted Cruz that is not included in the ad, but has monumental significance, is the case of Jose Medellin v. Texas that Cruz argued before the U.S. Supreme Court and won a 6-3 decision. It's difficult to encapsulate the victory against Medellin in a 30-second video spot.
Everyone that believes criminal Mexican nationals should be executed for rape murders they commit in the U.S. and rejects World Court meddling in U.S. state criminal laws owes a huge debt of gratitude to Ted Cruz for this landmark decision.
Cruz won that fight arguing against the International Court of Justice and President George W. Bush who sided with Medellin if you can believe it.
A brief summary of the facts of Medellin v. Texas can be read here >>> https://www.oyez.org/cases/2007/06-984
The case answered these two questions with a resounding NO!
Question:Did the President act within his constitutional and statutory foreign affairs authority when he determined that states must comply with the U.S. treaty obligation under the Vienna Convention by enforcing a decision of the International Court of Justice?
Does the Constitution require state courts to honor the treaty obligation of the U.S. by enforcing a decision of the International Court of Justice?
I have owned a couple of businesses, and been successful in those endeavors. In no instance did I, nor would I consider using government force to benefit my business. Trump clearly did so and my opinion of him is colored by that.
Those who vote for him can hope “that once “enforcing the Constitution” becomes his executive responsibility, that he will do as good a job”. I will hold no such hope or delusion based on his track record.
It is an unfortunate truth that in order to operate a business at the level that Trump operates, businesses use any tool they can get away with using, and that includes "government influence". The use of "eminent domain" is one that is being tested in law by businesses, but many other avenues of pressure are used. Disney, Inc. has successfully lobbied for changes in copyright to extend the life of their IP (Mickey and the gang). Another is "standards setting" by regulatory agencies....businesses routinely try to get those implemented to their advantage, and to the disadvantage of their competitors. I don't agree with this, but the courts have decided otherwise.
But until the American people consistently elect office-holders who will vote otherwise, nothing will change. I think "term limits" would help. Others think differently.
But I don't think you can in any way judge Trump's potential performance in enforcing the nations law(s) from his business actions. Apples and Oranges.
If Cruz wants to win, he better start telling the truth like Trump is.
LMAO.
Your vote is yours. Between his past actions and words there is no way I can endorse or vote for him and trust he will conform to the original intent of the Constitution.
I spent 12 years of my life and pretty much ruined my health defending the Constitution and will not turn my back on it now hoping that someone who has shown disdain for it will suddenly clutch it to his breast and defend it to his death.
the disappointing thing is Cruz is “lawyering” the election race. He is using lawyering strategies rather than issues.
(ie is he from a state that requires/requests lawyers do x number of hours pro bono?)
He had to go allll the way to his private practice to show his fighting cred? What about in DC? or was he an approved no vote by leaders?
