This is being paid for via fines imposed on countries which violated the sanctions with Iran....not our tax money.

How did America destroy the Soviet Union? By making it too expensive for them to keep up with us.

Barky’s plan is the same: Destroy America by bankrupting her. Spend, spend, spend, on everything and anything that doesn’t strengthen her, until she falls to her knees.

Isn't that Achmedidjerdog?

It certainly is, despite denials to the contrary by the left-liberal apologists for Ahmadinnerjacket (as I call him).

As Paul Harvey might have said "now for the rest of the story", in the spring of 1980, Carter's National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski traveled to Amman Jordan where he met with representatives of Saddam Hussein's regime (some say with Saddam himself) and the message was conveyed that the U.S. wouldn't exactly be heartbroken if Iraq were to pursue their territorial disputes with Iran via military action. Carter and Brzezinski thought such ham-handed action might pressure Tehran into releasing our hostages. As usual, "they thought wrong".

A few months later, Iraq did indeed begin the 8 year long Iraq-Iran War in which hundreds of thousands of people were killed, including children used by the Basij Iranian militia, utilized by the Iranian army as human mine-sweepers, the kids were given cheap little plastic keys and told that if they were killed by an exploding mine, that the keys would admit them into paradise where 'allah' would welcome them.

The premier trainer of the Basij who went on to use the political clout he gained in that undertaking to become first the mayor of Tehran, and then 'President'?

You guessed it: Mahmoud Ahmadinejad himself, who first cut his teeth in the terrorist action of 1979 when those Iranian scum bags invaded and seized our Embassy.

Ahmadinnerjacket (as I call him).

My original (Achmedidjerdog©) is much more derogatory to the islamofacist dirtbag.

P!$$ be upon him.

re-Ask to yourself that question if one of the hostages was your brother, father, son, best friend?

The wrong taxpayers are paying.

Affirmative sir. That, however, might slow down Iran's quest for nuclear weapons, and I think Obungler does not want anything to stand in the way of Iran's nuclear weapons program. On the other hand, did POWs get compensation like that?

Because the frozen money did not come from the Iranian government, but from Iranian corporations.

No, France is not paying. A French bank that has been holding billions of dollars of Iranian funds in escrow since 1978 is paying the former hostages out of the Iranian funds that bh0 is returning to Iran.

“Re-ask your question...

10000 per day or 4 million total is a lot more than those left behind get when a soldier is killed. Understand?
