Cruz Sees 'Two-Man Race' With Trump For GOP Nomination By Christopher Snyder December 22, 2015 Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz said Tuesday he believes the still-crowded GOP field is slowly becoming a "two-man race" between himself and real estate mogul Donald Trump.
Cruz said new polling shows his campaign is picking up traction, not only in the early primary states but with Republican voters nationwide.
He referred to a Quinnipiac University national poll released Tuesday that has Trump leading the field with 28 percent and Cruz close behind with 24 percent. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio has 12 percent, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson polled at 10 percent and the other candidates were all in the single digits.
"I think this race could down to him and me ... it will come down to who has (a) conservative record and who will take on Washington," he told reporters after a campaign rally in Nashville, Tenn.

They both need the other in the race to keep the GOPe from gaining any traction in the primaries.
Agreed. Trump and Cruz have far more in common than what they might have in differences on the issues.

Spin — then explode. More entertaining.

Agreed. No idea who wins, though. I think that Trump probably has all of the support that he’s going to get, and that as other candidates drop out, their people will go to Cruz. We’ll see.
I do think that both Trump and Cruz mop the floor with Hillary! though. The polls showing otherwise are nonsense.
” I think that Trump probably has all of the support that heâs going to get,”
Good thinking. That must explain why Trump’s numbers keep going up. LOL!
So long as we don't wind up with another Bush, or Kasich, or some other Democrat-and-GOPe-approved liberal squish. Enough is enough.
