If we toss the chance to elect a real conservative we lose if we win.
This is for the die hard Cruz fans:
I like your guy, I really do. He is the only candidate holding office that is NOT establishment. His record of bucking the trend is relatively solid.
But the reason I still prefer Trump is his ability to handle the media, I fear that Cruz would be run over by the media in their overwhelming effort to support Hillary.
Trump’s anti-political correctness stance is resonating. Look at his crowds, he is doing several rallies a week to thousands attending and even more thousands unable to enter the venue due to capacity being met. I was at the Sarasota Rally, there were more people outside unable to get in than inside before the fire dept cut it off. 4k inside and over 6k outside. And this is repeated several times a week.
The “Conservative” debate. If you go down the line and do a check by check, yes I think Cruz would win in a head to head against Trump. But I go back to my 1st point, Trump’s ability to handle the media. To me and many like me Trump is conservative enough.
Four Years ago, Romney was not my choice. I was very upset with the current administration. I pulled the lever for him on that fateful November day. But that is all I did.
This year I attended a Rally, signed up to volunteer....I feel like moving mountains. I got that same emotion talking to those around me at the Rally a few weeks ago.
I expect Trump to win the nomination with Cruz coming in 2nd and Jeb quietly pulling the plug once Florida’s Primary #’s come in and he gets less than 10%. But if Cruz wins the nomination....I will still volunteer and still move mountains. But if it is not Trump or Cruz and the establishment pulls a fast one....I will quietly pull the lever on November but not do a damn thing more.
