Hmmmm. Weren’t we just “warned” by mitchee mcconnel that nominating a NON traditional candidate will NOT be tolerated and the gopE will not support anyone for a senate race or any outsiders like Trump or Cruz running for president? Geez. I guess we better straighten up and fly right huh? Looks like we may have to take a ride to the courthouse and drop the party choice on our voter registration. Except we have closed primaries.

Yes, and how many freepers agree with this article on the “quin-a pee act” poll about being embarrassed?

Some people believe we have to become Muslims and adopt their ideas to defeat Muslims. I wonder how that will work out.

Donald Trump has many faults but lack of political courage is not one of them.

Confusing headline....Republican front runner Donald Trump is wide awake, focused on our common enemy, and has been for quite a while.

I am for Trump and not at all embarrassed. Cruz is tolerable and preferable to the establishment because he is a politician familiar with the “Potomac Two-Step”. He knows how to play the game, and will play the game if enough pressure is brought to bear. His anti-amnesty position is a recent development and he voted for TPA before he voted against it. Trump is the only non-politician who has the chance of a snow-ball in hell of beating Hillary.

that they have made it virtually impossible for him to win a general election.

I disagree David, I think Trump has played this rather well, and when he teams up with Ted Cruz next month. the game will be over!

Amen!!

And this....

If Republicans want to join Democrats and match their viciousness in taking down the Republican front-runner, Hillary Clinton is going to be our next president.

Horowitz is spot on.

I see a Trump/Cruz ticket as a good possibility, but March or May would be the earliest that might happen.

I’m not so sure they will hold out that long. Trump always like to call the shots and force everyone to play his game. They just might pull a hat trick on the establishment. One thing for sure, if they announced before the Primaries, it would completely decimate all other candidates and tweak the establishment like never before!.

For establishment Republicans the enemy is whoever threatens their control over the party. Trump does, the Democrats don't.

“Donald Trump has many faults but lack of political courage is not one of them. He seems motivated by concern for the pit into which this country has fallen under an administration with catastrophic priorities and uncertain loyalties. That is what Republicans need to think about when framing their next attacks. Otherwise the future is dim indeed.”

The world is changing fast! The old beliefs and norms do not reflect the real world. The PC world was constucted on Hippie Pot Smoke and Hope and Change ideals—it really didn’t exist. The truth, like the chickens, are coming home to roost. A new reality is coming and Trumps words ring true with the masses. Even if Trump is never president, he has changed this forever. The old 99% and Black Lives Matter are at the end of the liberal rope. The world is lurching toward a new phase and, I hope, a better one. The coming year fills me with dread. Things could become very violent (I hope I am wrong) and bloody fast. War looks possiblle and I am not talking about some 3rd world conflict but a real World War. Economic failure is also possible as too many are on the dole (not working for one reason or another). World Economy has made a few uber rich and a lot so so much. This leads to social unheaval and a New form of Communism. We see it all around us. The Anti-Colonnialism of the 20th Century spawned the Muslim Brothers and ISIS—it will force a neo-Imperialism to emerge to dominate and control the 3rd world (to Bring Peace). These are times to try men’s souls.

The only serious - i.e., bloody-minded - fire coming from the Republican side is directed at Donald Trump.

Don't look now, but I see a LOT of very serious attacks on Hillary, Obama and other Demoncrats coming from Cruz, Christie, Fiorina, Rubio and even from Bush and Huckabee. I also see a lot of fire coming from Trump to every other Republican nominee whom he perceives as any kind of a threat (and even some who are not a threat, like Paul).

David Horowitz had better wake up and hope Trump remembers who the enemy is, too. I would rather have a President Gilmore (or even Bush) than a President Hillary.
