A 24-year-old homeless woman who cops said had been living in her car with her 3-year-old daughter in Las Vegas for about a week was charged Monday in the automobile rampage that killed one and wounded at least 35 others Sunday night.
Lakeisha N. Holloway appeared “stoic†when cops encountered her soon after the 1996 Oldsmobile sedan she was driving plowed into a crowd on the Las Vegas Strip multiple times – all while a young child was sitting in the backseat.
Authorities said Sunday they “know this was not an act of terrorism,†though Lombardo did leave some wiggle room on Monday.
“As of now we do not believe it to be an act of terrorism,†he said, noting that officials were not “100 percent ruling out the possibility†and are working with the FBI.
“The act is going to be very hard to explain at face value,†said Lombardo, who reiterated that whatever the ultimate classification, cops believe the carnage was “an intentional act.â€

Speaking of “white folks” ... the woman she killed was Hispanic, but it increasingly seems to me that the black community — or at least the part of it that is most hostile — views anyone who is not black as white. Asian=white, Hispanic=white... is anyone else getting this impression?

I teach in a mostly black school & they are not fond of Hispanics. It seems to run both ways.

So this woman was homeless.... Yet her family is saying what a wonderful person she was. Salt of the earth. So why was she homeless? She was family. Why didn’t they take her in? If I knew a family member was having to sleep in her car with her 3 year old daughter in the middle of winter, I would try to help her. Why didn’t they?

I looked up the Founder’s List for the slave names and have to admit, you did not need a sarc tag. The other thing I noticed is that Washington’s slaves must have been treated a lot better than most other slaves, they were really long lived. They were living longer than the average age of white slave owners for that period.

Black co-workers have noticed that Hispanics have replaced any blacks in various departments; I think they finally realize that Hispanics are trafficked here to replace them completely. No socializing between the two groups at all...
