Cruz's problem is that I, along with many others, do understand exactly what he was doing with TPA and the corker bill. His explanations only serve to make him look like a sleazy politician/lawyer. Your unconditional acceptance of anything Cruz says, given his track record of actual accomplishments vs votes, is your prerogative. But it certainly does not give you any credibility to attack Trump with.

We understand the reality that you either don't or won't admit. By voting for TPA Cruz ensured that TPP can ultimately pass the Senate with 50 votes instead of 60. That's the bottom line and no amount of insults or weasel words can change it. Then Cruz can safely vote against it while knowing it will pass.
