I have always had a problem with that question on the list I complete before giving blood. How come the ban was never against sodomy? Would not heterosexual penetration be as much of a problem?

Actually, I had this discussion with my nurse wife this evening and come to find out the largest growing demographic (and unknown why) for HIV is seniors and Hispanic women.

Accordingly, the health care system is moving towards testing all blood in the blood banks for HIV.

Moronic FDA could have just said that to alleviate concern... but maybe they don't know it - which makes their decision even more reprehensible.
