We does everyone want to take the really Conservative Senators out of the Senate? I make one exception, because as Vice President, Ted Cruz would still be in the Senate. ;-)
Because they can accomplish little there and a lot in cabnet positions making rules and enforcing law.
Alabama’s pretty conservative (not like Conservative-Talking-But-Leftist-Acting Mississippi). I’m pretty sure they’ll get another Conservative to take Secretary Session’s place.
Good point, occurred to me, too. If the wrangles over Cruz's 2013 shamnesty amendment are any indication, the only names that keep coming up consistently in the good guys' column in the Senate are Cruz, Mike Lee, and Jeff Sessions, who is the "go-to guy" on the issue.
The only way taking one of them out of the Senate could be considered a good move would be if his next stop were the White House, or as you pointed out, the vice-presidency.
The senate is no place for a conservative, as Cruz has demonstrated.
