The search for Ethan Couch continued Saturday, eight days after he missed a probation check-in that was required under terms of his sentencing for killing four people while driving drunk in 2013.
Authorities warn that the 18-year-old, who got 10 yearsâ probation when sentenced last year, is making matters worse by not turning himself in.
âEvery day heâs gone, things are going to get worse for him,â Tarrant County Sheriff Dee Anderson said Saturday. âWe donât care where he goes, how far he goes. Heâs going to be looking over his shoulder wherever he is.â
With a $5,000 reward now up for grabs, people across the country are getting involved in the search. The Tarrant County sheriffâs office has received dozens of tips a day â emails, phone calls, tweets, Facebook messages â from people who think theyâve seen Couch or claim to know where he might be, Anderson said.
The challenge now, he said, is to sift through those tips and see if any of them check out.

The judge immediately “retired” after this case, presumably because dad paid him off with enough money to last the rest of his life.
“TOP OF THE WORLD MA! TOP OF THE WORLD!”
Is that a new position?
His mother is also missing...Dr Freud please pick up the courtesy phone!
