I remember that, back in 80's, during Iran-Iraq War, they had so-called 'tanker war.' Warplanes from either country fired at tankers leaving from the oil terminals on the other side. Iraqis used to say that they destroyed 'large naval targets', referring to tankers from Iranian side. Could we see something like that again between Gulf Sunni countries on the one side, and Iran, Iraq on the other side?
I guess that they are just paying lip (wallet) service, nothing else.
