The NRA does not make endorsements this early in a primary.. I do not recall them ever making an endorsement in a presidential primary..
I believe this is optimism or trying to make it happen.
It’s a blog, guy isn’t that reliable evidently - someone said he was ‘reporting’ that Jeb! was dropping out ... in October. Let’s just say I’ll believe a Trump (or anyone else) endorsement when I see it officially from the NRA.
Nope. But Cruz or Paul would honestly be much better endorsements. If the NRA endorsed Trump over either one its based purely on popularity and not principle.

NRA has no reason to endorse Trump. There is no upside and a lot of downside.
Wait until the general and then endorse the better candidate. If they endorse now and Trump is not the nominee, then they have garnered a lot if ill-will for no reason at all.
