I don’t know when they took the word “gay” but I have a letter my grandmother wrote to another relative in the 1930s and she said in the letter that my aunts were having a gay time on a trip. I have had to explain to my daughters that it sure did not mean what it does now.
Liberals are great at changing the meaning of things to hide the truth and make things more acceptable. They are doing that now more than ever.
