"hate the sin love the sinner" is a quote taken from Mahatma Gandhi in his autobiography "The Story of My Experiments with Truth" from the 1920's
It is neither a christian nor jewish tenant, as neither God nor Jesus separates sin from the sinner. "hate the sin love the sinner" is never taught in the old or new testament.
Jesus said when refusing to condemn the woman caught in the act of adultery to death by stoning “go and sin no more” - thereby pardoning the sinner but not the author of the sin: the devil. John 8:11 “For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them” Luke 9:56
“tenant” in your post should read “tenet”. They are two different words with completely different meanings.
