Trump Celebrates Christmas at Rally Talking Putin Praise By JOSH HASKELL JOHN SANTUCCI Dec 19, 2015
Christmas appears to have come early for Presidential candidate Donald Trump as he basked in the praise received from Russian President Vladimir Putin while on the campaign trail in Iowa Saturday.
"Russia's got plenty of problems. But I'll tell you what, if Putin likes me and he thinks I'm a good, smart person, that's a good thing. Not a bad thing," Trump said.
Acknowledging that Trump's GOP rivals didn't exactly think an endorsement from Putin was something to gloat about, the billionaire businessman told the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, crowd in his best Jeb Bush voice "Putin called him brilliant, that's not good."
Accusing Bush and others of wanting to ignite "World War III," Trump pondered what it would be like if Russia and the U.S. could "knock out an enemy together."
"This would be a great start if you think about it. The money we spend on fighting everybody," Trump told his Christmas themed rally.
Weighing in on Saturday night's Democratic presidential debate, Trump called Hillary Clinton "a snake" and Bernie Sanders a "poor guy ... gave this whole thing away," referring to the first debate when Sanders said, "Enough with the damn emails," and said he would not criticize Clinton about her controversial use of a private server while she was secretary of state.

Watters World
It’s amazing how well Putin knows Hillary
I keep thinking of Teddy Roosevelt-—and I disagreed with many things he did, but agreed with his America first expansionism and patriotism. When it came to the Panama Canal, he said of Congress, “I took Panama, and left Congress to debate ME.”
I like the notion, but I don't see it happening. Russia doesn't do "world policeman" stuff. They do expansionism.
They do what’s in their interest. A savvy businessman can use that to his advantage. There are many things that are in our mutual interest and Putin may be willing to give up some of what he wants to get things he can accomplish in concert with America. That’s where the chess part comes in- who is better at thinking several moves out. With Trump we have a good chance it will be him; he seems uncanny in his ability to sense advantage in situations and to position himself where he can benefit from that advantage.
Try to gain an understanding of international politics and then get back in the discussion. Right now you are not able to articulate any kind of rational argument.
Let’s see, Putin said something nice about him and he said Thank You. How is that getting Punked?
I doubt Putin will be give a slot at the Convention to make an Official Endorsement.
Do you want a President that is considered weak by our adversaries? We already have one of those.
To the TDS trolls, any post not praising and glorifying their guy, just has to be “rude”, nasty, stupid, irrational, and beyond the pale. And this is only going to get worse until Trump wins the nomination; sadly.
If Putin had said the same thing about Cruz, they’d be posting it 30 times in a row...all different threads.
In what specific way is Putin an “adversary” to the US? I know that Obama, Romney and McCain say he is, but tell me, specifically, how?
An early mentor of mine defined "manager" for me.
He told me that "a manager is not the man that can do the work of ten men. A manager is one who can get ten men to do the work!"
Interestingly, most, if not all of the media, didn’t really understand what Putin said about ‘leader’. He said Trump was the clear leader in the race (for President). Of course Putin isn’t stupid, and he can surely see Trump is a real man, and a true leader, not just the leader of the race.
How shameful! That is an insult to vipers everywhere!
Pretty sure if you didn’t come on Trump threads to hand out insults you wouldn’t have to deal with us.
Cool, if you’re ever in the Albuquerque area let me know, Mrs. Slim and I will treat you to a feed.
For your reference I am a Trump person as in Trump/Cruz ticket. I am very anti-TDS.
