Actually in 1995 I was running Alan Keyes Linn county campaign and we had an event there. A month earlier we had close to 1200 in a gym and no media showed up. We tried to get 2000 and feel way short. We had more than in that photo. I think we had like 850 to 1000. I counted them.
I still think crowd count is over valued. Alan Keyes always had bigger crowds than any other candidate. Totaled 7% statewide. Lost Linn county by 7 votes.
