True, there is the give-up factor. If we can’t unseat the Clown Prince then people think why try to unseat lesser stumbling blocks either. A general demoralization.
This might last until finally the Clown Prince tires of the game and by mercy the Lord allows a better one to take his position. But in the end the game wasn’t even his; sadly it was ours. WE dropped the ball. He pouted and sat on it, and we were too weak to do anything.
