So, very simply, ever since the Republican Party became the party of keeping the government open at all costs, we get bills like this. There's simply no stopping the Democrats. There's no mechanism. Every constitutional mechanism found in the power of the purse, Separation of Powers, the Republican Party years ago gave it away, in total fear of the media.

Oh, I yust go nuts at Christmas,
On that yolly holiday,
I’ll go in the red, like a knucklehead
Cause I squander all my pay.
Oh, I yust go nuts at Christmas,
Shopping sure drives me berserk,
On the day before, I rush in da store,
Like a nervous nelly yerk.
I look at nightgowns for my vife,
Dose black ones trimmed in red.
But, I wonât know her size,
And so, she’ll get a carpet sweeper instead.
Oh, I yust go nuts at Christmas
Ven each kid hangs up his sock,
Its a time for kids, to flip der lids,
While der papa goes in hock.
The Republican leadership are essentially Democrats anyways. I maintain they’re Democrats who successfully infiltrated and have completed the destruction of the GOP from the inside. Anyone who considers themselves a conservative could never support these bloated, pork laden budgets unless they were not really conservative to begin with, and certainly not a Republican in the spirit of Ronald Reagan.
Thank you. I searched for the article, but no key words matched up for me.
They’re not losing, giving in, or giving up. They are part of the Uniparty and are doing as they’re told by the Oligarchs.
Yes, these GOP Bush-style elites are Democrat infiltrators, just like Nikita S. Khrushchev boasted about in a general, not specific way, in 1959.
We got a ton of tax cuts that were going to expire which is important for our economy. They got about 3 or 4 things that really are a small part of the budget. Our tax cuts are the majority of the budget. Complaining about everything is I guess the status quo. We haven’t had a budget in 7 years. Finally Congress got off their butts and did their job. Perfect? No, but at least they are finally working.

It is not a question of shutting it down. The question is why keep it open?
Its too ‘spensive.
Many many democrats crossed over to become republicans during the Reagan Revolution because it was the only way they could hold onto power.
For example, Thad Cochran and Haley Barbour. And so many others.
And then there are republicans that are outright liar scum, like Rand Paul.
Now that they are republicans, they play the game of calling themselves conservatives and talking like conservatives to their constituents because those constituents want a conservative to represent them.
But as they talk like conservatives they do the opposite on bills that matter and do the conservative thing on bills that don’t matter. For example, they voted for a bill to defund PP knowing full well that Obama would veto it. Yet, they fully fund PP in a must-pass bill that funds continuing operations of the federal government. But they can say they voted to defund PP, it’s on the record, see? Yet they voted on a must-pass bill to fully fund PP in buried provisions inside that bill.
They attach riders to must-pass bills that are buried inside the critical bills. They voted not to renew funding of the crony corrupt Ex-Im Bank. But then they fund it in a must-pass Highway Bill.
And the list of examples goes on and on and on.
And this is just PP and Crony Banks. This doesn’t even touch the surface of other issues that are dear to conservatives.
They’re scum, liar scum. And they’ve gotten away with it for far too long.
“Jeff Sessions said “This is why Trump is now triumphing here and probably will win. The voters have come to believe that their own party’s elites are not only uninterested in defending their interests, but — as with this legislation and fast tracking the president’s international trade deal — Republican voters would not be wrong to conclude that their own Republican leaders are hostile to them, just as Democrat leaders are hostile to Republican voters.””
Very much worth repeating.
I wish Repulicans would leave the party in droves but of course they can’t do that. They have to stay and take the abuse so they can vote in the primaries. It’s a sickening situation. How the hell can this crap be stopped?
Did we get tax cuts? Or did their crony donor class get tax cuts? From what I have read, they took care of their donors.
I just do not know if I can trust Trump. He has such a checkered past concerning conservative policies. He has flip flopped on more things than pancakes at IHOP.
As far as I’m concerned, it’s more about decimating the GOP-e than trusting Trump.
Sounds like an American to me.
P.S. I’ll take someone like Trump who changes his own mind versus someone who is paid to have a position like the rest of the lineup.
