Fred Thompson was the political Justin Beiber of that election season. He told jokes in the debates and "won" them all and we ended up with McCain.

Fred Thompson was the political Justin Beiber of that election season. The same Fred Thompson who had 1/6th the political experience as Hunter did and who left Washington to go hang with his liberal Hollywood chums. I remember it well.
