So what? His second amendment position paper is published. He’s mentioned it tens and tens of times at rallies recorded by a dozen media cameras. Do you really think he will go back on it??

I have no reason to believe he wouldn't go back on it if it benefited him in some way. He has shown a propensity for changing his positions quite a bit, which leads me to believe he is not very deeply rooted in those positions.
