Any professional officer, who would threaten to quit publicly based on who would win the Presidency has violated the rules of conduct and should be court martialed. Having ones personal opinions is one thing, espousing them in public is a violation of conduct and should not be in the Military Chain of Command.

Define publicly. None of the officers (if there even WERE any) were quoted by name. I wrote a lot of nasty things about Bill Clinton on FreeRepublic, but not under my real name, and I kept my mouth shut in the squadron.

I doubt the reporter talked to more than 1-2 people.
