That was a very bizarre shooting. I don’t see a reason for it. Fleeing the scene of a crime, in and of itself is no longer justification to shoot somebody. It hasn’t been since since Tennessee v. Garner.
In Oklahoma a police officer can shoot a fleeing felon if he is a danger to the community, i.e., he is armed.
