I have no ill will towards Trump, actually. My candidate is Ted Cruz. But I have thought from the outset that as long as Ted has no problem with Donald, I don’t.
Personally, I want Donald to stay in the game until I hear these words from Jeb Bush, “I have suspended my campaign as of....”.

Trump Trump Trump, he’ll kick them in the rump!
If you look carefully you will see signs that the Left-Wing media is quietly starting to have a cow about the numbers of Reagan Democrats who appear ready to defect to Trump.
This is a great article, however it won’t be too long before our resident Trump-haters will be piling on, with their usual claptrap “all those crowds are brought in by bus by the unions!!!”
The time is coming (some say it’s already here) that the choice will be clear:
You are either with Trump, or you are with the GOPe, ‘RATS and RINOS.
Choose wisely.
Good summary from someone who’s been there.
I remember back in 1992, I heard a conservative talk show host (I cannot remember his name) say; “I just saw the next President of the United States”. He was talking about Bill Clinton and was referencing his thoughts when he saw Clinton walking across an airport tarmac. If memory serves, this was in January of 1992. Almost the same time frame as Mr. Root’s column. I wonder if he is as clairvoyant as that long ago talk show host.
“Donald’s fan base is plumbers, electricians, construction workers, taxi drivers, secretaries, hairdressers, cops, firemen and yes, in Las Vegas- casino workers. Donald is a man of the people. “
Worth repeating.
Reagan appealed to the same. He spoke in a way people could understand, about things they cared about and expressed their own thoughts.
If we keep sending the same ol’ incestuous, political elite back to washington we are going to keep getting fed the same manure. The only proof needed is the latest “omnibus” 2000 page document no one has read nor will read until it is voted on, passed and signed into law. Revolution in congress my a$$.
The only hope this country has is to break out of the same ol’ same ol’. If Trump is the guy to do it so be it........
Personally, I want Donald to stay in the game until I hear these words from Jeb Bush, “I am formally endorsing Hillary Clinton for President....”.
What does Trump think about Budgets ? Will he bring Budgets back ?
We the People have been disenfranchised, marginalized, ridiculed and ignored!
I keep saying Trump had me at ‘build a wall’
No other candidate had said that.....NONE
I had been a wholly supportive Ted Cruz fan since he came on the scene over a year ago......
I am not shallow.....
But as soon as I heard Trump passionately avow to do what I had given up on ever getting done....
He won me over!
It’s that simple.
I listened to him.....I listened to his fine, articulate, smart sons.....I keep getting impressed all over again.
We have winner here folks.
Those who have spoken highly of him are Jeff Sessions.....Franklin Graham....Pastor Jeffress (Dallas)......Phyllis Schafly....etc
God Bless Donald Trump
That said...what the h#@l does ‘style’ matter after 8 years of ‘O’?
My preference is for Cruz and my ONLY second choice is Trump!
That comes right after he suspends his campaign and donates his war fund to Hillary, I’d imagine.
And most importantly, he isn’t lecturing me!
He is a business man. Budgets have meaning to him.
What does Trump think about Budgets ? Will he bring Budgets back ?

He has been running a very successful business. Of course he believes in budgets.
He also understands and follows them unlike the typical politician who knows nothing about real world economics.
You’ll have your chance to vote for Cruz in 8 years. 16 years of adult leadership coming out way!
Real Americans who have never taken welfare in their lives. Real Americans who just want their kids to do better than themselves. Real Americans who pay into the system, not take out. God bless them.
And why are they so mad? Why is Trump their hero? Because he speaks for them. He speaks plain spoken, common sense, American values. He tells the raw honest truth. They are sick of the B.S. They are sick of being lied to. They are sick of political correctness. And most importantly, they are sick of being under attack.
Jeff Sessions: Trump you magnificent bastard, you read my article: Becoming the Party of work: How the GOP can help struggling Americans, and itself.
