A Kentucky school district is being urged to reconsider after censoring "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and other programs by removing all references to religion.

The Alliance Defending Freedom weighed in Tuesday after Johnson County Schools officials agreed to modify its holiday programming in order to avoid a potential lawsuit, a move prompted by a complaint from a parent about the classic Peanuts play.

It’s a public school system. They were infiltrated by marxists decades ago.

When Kentucky falls for this crap you might as well lower the American flag. It is over.

Well hell's bells, look who they re-elected last November. Senator Quisling himself...

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

An absolute gem of the English language. No, my no, we can't expose the kiddies to that - it might start them thinking about it.

I now believe schools should just have regular classes on December 25th and let Christians call in sick.

Great idea! Let the liberal teachers all complain about how they have to work on a day they don't believe in.

Then why show it at all? It’s pretty meaningless without Linus’s soliloquy.

Why don’t they substitute the video of the Apollo 8 astronauts reading from Genesis on Christmas Eve.

“One parent can cause the School Board to ban Charlie Brown and Jesus?”

Sickening isn’t it, and it’s happening all across the nation on multiple issues regarding the ‘rights’ of the depraved and psychopaths.

A Charlie Brown Christmas is highly regarded for its strong anti-hypocrisy/anti-distraction message.

Perhaps the Johnson County schools are showing this in their English classes as an example of irony.

But why is a school showing Charlie Brown Christmas?

Because showing movies is easier than teaching.

If anyone noticed, while the new Peanuts movie was clearly respectful of the original material, what it did leave out was any reference to US history and Christianity from Linus... a staple of nearly all the original specials and movies.

How about choosing Frosty the Snowman or Suzy Snowflake for your play and stop trying to ruin Christmas by taking Jesus away from us?

Idiot liberals live in all parts of the country now...

Liberals don’t know it yet, but their ideas have died - relegated to the dust bin of history... PC died a few weeks ago...

It’s O-VAR...

In other words, Charlie Brown never finds out what Christmas is all about.

Total insanity. It is the most profound part of the cartoon.

Linus who is Never without his blanket in his hands, drops it on the ground when he says, "Be not afraid."

Sorry about that he drops his blanket when he recites.” Fear not”

They’d have allowed Linus to wrap a towel around his head and quote from the koran.

Kentucky sure has sunk into the depths from what it once was.
