Trump won because nothing much changed.

No one broke any new ground, no one made a fatal gaffe. It was more of the same, which ALWAYS benefits the front runner. Cruz was, however, his usual impressive self - and he will make a fine Presidential understudy as Trump’s Veep, in preparation for taking the job starting on 1/20/2025.

agree completely. As watching it I was getting a little annoyed that they weren’t giving Trump much time, but then I realized it helps him.

When they mentioned him considering Cruz as a VP with both of them in the shot it was very telling that neither flinched or changed expression. If Cruz wasn’t interested he would have laughed it off or made some sort of expression change I would think.

Trump/Cruz 2016 I think that will sufficiently turn out the base.
