As much as one third of Hezbollahâs fighting force has been killed or injured fighting in defense of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, Avi Issacharoff reported Tuesday in The Times of Israel.
According to Issacharoff, Israeli sources estimate that between 1,300 to 1,500 members of the Iran-backed terrorist group have been killed in Syria, while an additional 5,000 have been injured. The surging casualty count has forced Hezbollah to deviate from past policy and release details on its losses. This past weekend, Arab media reported that over a dozen Hezbollah fighters were killed while battling ISIS near the Lebanese border. The fighterâs pictures were also published in Lebanese outlets.

They’re good on defense as long as their bunkers are well hardened and deep enough but they really suck on offense where they have to actually do something.

Israel knows that it cannot underestimate its enemies as it did before the 1973 Yom Kippur War.
While Hizbollah is a potent force and controls all of Southern Lebanon, this article suggest that Hizbollah has been severely weakened, which it has but it has also gained years of combat experience against nut jobs nuttier than them. This means that they are battle hardened.
Now they have advanced Soviet (oops, I mean Russian) SAMs in Lebanon and Syria. This is a serious threat to Israel's control of the skies over Israel, Lebanon and Syria.
As long as the world gives Iran a free pass on her Nuclear program and lifts sanctions, Iran will increase her power 10 fold in the region with Soviet (oops, I mean Russian) help.
Hizbollah is down but not out int he same way the West thought the Soviet Union (oops, I mean Russia) was out in 1989.
Watch out and hit them whenever possible.
