Below is a reality that has been hidden by the left wing media re German Americans in WWII. Not only Japanese were interned during WWII, Germans were, and Italians were closely monitored in coastal areas.

One of the best kept secrets of WWII was the internment of German American men, women and children, away from the rest of America.

Canada and some Latin America countries did the same and interned some Italians.

Why did these evil countries do this. They were at war with the Axis, Germany, Italy and Japan, and they did not want to have acts of terrorism committed against their citizens by possible terrorists.

Did the media label FDR as a Nazi for the internment of Germans, Japanese and some Italians during WWII?

Who were the presidents during WWII, and what party controlled congress and the Supreme Court?

Tom Brokaw, in “The Greatest Generation” wrote about the Italian POW’s here in America.

Over twelve million people in the U.S. were either born in Germany or had one or both parents born in Germany at the time World War II broke out. Only 11,500 were interned, and vast majority of those were German nationals. Comparing what Germans went through to what Japanese-Americans went through is ridiculous.

You need to read a bit better.

German, Italian and Japanese CITIZENS living in the United States were interned during the war.

Nobody is criticizing the US for interning foreign citizens. The difference is that the only AMERICAN citizens interned were those of Japanese origin. Americans whose ancestors came from Germany and Italy were definitely not interned.

Internment of Japanese and Germans probably saved a lot of lives.... both theirs and those not interned.

One incident could have resulted in mob rule.

I get sick of people bashing the US for Japanese internment.

The big issue to me is that their property needed to be protected and returned after the war.
