Some of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever met had Down’s Syndrome.
There was a group home for them in California, and we just happened to do our
grocery on the same day. The people would chat with me and help me with my stuff.
I enjoyed complimenting them and smiling at them because it made them so happy.
Since we moved to another state, I have met more Down’s people. Also in the
grocery store, where I met a sweet man who was a box boy. He really did a great
job bagging the grocery, and nothing was ever missing, broken, or bagged poorly.
He was laid off a few months ago, and I really miss him. Sweet man.
A life is a life, and even a Down’s person can make a life for him or herself.
Aborting them is just as much murder as any other murder. They are very lovable.
