If Jesus were walking as a man among us now He would be dressed in Wal Mart clothes and look no different from everyone else. Jesus was not a sartorial anachronist in his own time and would not be now. His physical characteristics would be no more anomalous in this society than they were in first century Judea. He would not be a hippie. He might have a youthful background in body and fender work.

It isn’t the guns that would turn Jesus off to America. It is the 55 million dead babies and glorification of rampant hedonism not just in the entertainment industry (seeking to make money off of sex) but also in our schools and civic functions and corporations. So ‘tolerant’ of slutty gay rights marches.

The abandonment of the religious tradition among the masses. The mocking of what many hold sacred.

We can make an estimated guess as to Mary’s genetic contributions to the appearance of Jesus Christ but what of God’s?

Or is Morf talking about ‘secular, mortal Jesus’?
